This website is operated by Sophia by Shirley Enterprise, a sole proprietorship registered in Malaysia under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956 (business registration no. 201603291930 (SA0398795-A)), with its principal place of business at Zenith Corporate Park, E-51-G, No. 1 Jalan SS7/26, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
Our pieces
Sophia by Shirley bags are handmade from vintage Japanese kimono and obi silk. Because the fabric is vintage and every piece is made by hand, each is one of a kind, and small variations in colour, texture and finish are part of its character rather than a fault. Product photographs are representative; the piece you receive is the individual item shown or described.
Prices & availability
Prices are shown in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and may change at any time before you order. Most pieces are one of a kind, so stock is genuinely limited — often to a single item. Some pieces are offered price-on-request; we’ll quote you on enquiry. If a piece you ordered is no longer available, we’ll contact you and refund you in full.
Orders & payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract is formed once we confirm it. We accept card, FPX and GrabPay (via Stripe), cash on delivery, and collect in store, as shown at checkout. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order — for example, if a piece has sold or if we suspect fraud — in which case any payment taken is refunded.

Intellectual property
The designs, motifs, photographs, text and branding on this site belong to Sophia by Shirley and may not be copied or reused without our permission.
Liability
We take great care over every piece and every order. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
