23 June 2026 · Sheraton Petaling Jaya · Link Café, Level 3
There are afternoons that ask to be remembered, and this was one of them. On a quiet June day, a small circle of guests gathered by invitation at Link Café, high on the third floor of the Sheraton Petaling Jaya, for an intimate celebration of the obi — the storied silk sash whose motifs and weaves we lovingly give a second life.
The heart of the gathering was a curated showing of rare obi findings, each length carrying its own history of cranes and peonies, of gold thread and patient hands. Rather than simply admire them, our guests were invited to choose — to pair a treasured silk with a bag design of their own, and so begin a piece made entirely for them. Alongside these, we unveiled our newest designs for the very first time, a first glimpse before they meet the wider world, and shared a small surprise offer reserved for those in the room.
Lunch was served, unhurried and warm, and something lovely happened between courses: guests who had arrived as strangers soon fell into easy conversation, trading stories and laughter as though they had known one another far longer than a single afternoon. It is, perhaps, the quiet magic of a shared love for beautiful things.
We were sorry to see it end — and so we won't let it. Plans are already underway for a second gathering, an Event 2.0, in June 2027. We would be delighted to have you among us.
